About
Janet Yano is an artist living in the San Francisco Bay Area who has exhibited her work at locations such as the Bedford Gallery in Walnut Creek, the O’Hanlon Center for the Arts and MarinMOCA. Her studio is in the historic ICB building in Sausalito. Her work blends a meditative style with a rich and layered reflection on the resilience of her Japanese American ancestors. Janet has also studied photography at UC Berkeley Extension, and the symmetry, pattern and simplicity of that work is reflected in her watercolor practice.
